life in Dallas.

Well it's been almost 2 months since moving to Dallas. Time is flying by way faster than I realized. Just 2 months ago I was in France. And it's been over 4 months since graduation. Crazy.

I've been going to a class on Tuesday nights called Perspectives. It has been really cool. It is a class about the perspective of God on this world, the story He has been writing since creation. It has helped me look at the Bible and see how God's glory has been and will continue to be revealed. Each week a different missionary speaks from around the world. But, its focus is that worship is eternal, and missions isn't. Missions is how we live out our lives.

So often we look at the Bible and try to find us in it, try to see what applies to us. The question we should be asking is, what does this say about God, and what He is doing. How can I know Him more by dwelling on His words...

I've also been going to a Bible study at NW Bible with my roomies. It's been really good so far, and there are a few older women in our group that are awesome. It's so cool to see how 65 yr olds and 23 yr olds can learn from each other and encourage each other. So far we've talked about faith and obedience, looking at the lives of Peter and Daniel.

Last week I got to go to a neighborhood in South Dallas. I loved it. I loved playing with the kids and just loving on them and listening to them. I feel alive when I am with them, when I am reminded of how incredibly God loves us and wants us to love everyone around us passionately.

Work is good. Almost every day, I dread driving in traffic and being couped up in an office. However, the Lord has been graceful to bless me with the place I am working. I am getting to be involved in all kinds of humanitarian aid; so many people are affected with either food, medicine, computers, money, and resources through what we do, to be able to affect communities all over the world.

The people are great, and many are believers. Everyone there is passionate about what they do, and they want me to be invested in. There are relationships starting to build with co-workers, and it took some kicking in the pants for me to realize I am called to invest in these peoples' lives. I am really learning how to be obedient in the daily things God is calling me to.

I'm praying that God would multiply my time, that I would be faithful in prayer, and make the most of every opportunity to know Him more and to make Him known.
